    Coral reefs surround East Hope island in the northern section of the Great Barrier reef. The ecosystem spans along the northern Queensland coast for 2,300km and is the worlds largest living thing, visible from space the reef comprises thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands and is made of over 600 types of coral.
