Michigan weather during the spring can give exciting photo opportunities! I saw the wave prediction for St Joseph showed large waves that afternoon. After finding the position I wanted I put my 150-600mm Tamron on my tripod that was dug into the sand and weighted it down with my backpack to combat the fierce winds that were shaking my camera. I decided to go with this picture over all because of the leading line of the causeway leading right into the circular wave engulfing the lighthouse.
You were definitely in the right position to capture this moment, Levi. I can only imagine what it's like to witness the raw power of a wave crashing into a lighthouse. It
s just a great example of a moment that mother nature can reveal to us and just how intense that moment can be. Excellent composition here.
