Shot at Moran Point, Grand Canyon. Everything about these pictures was a surprise. It was literally hitting me like lightning, showing me that moments of significance cannot be planned or forseen. They can only be received. With the weather condition like this most of the photographer will be staying in-door, but this photo is just extra originally.

Only the Canyon and the lightning are in color as the rest stay black and white --- brilliant  and a wonderful composition.

We were on a raft trip in the Grand Canyon that night.  The crack of the lightening and the sound of the thunder echoing throughout the canyon was amazing.  It was such a surprise to see your photo from the night we were there.
