    I gaze in awe as I look back to the long and winding road that ascend to the peak of Al Hada in Taif. This was once an inaccessible rocky paradise where the cold wind blows constantly amid the unforgiving hot and dry Makkah Region. The roads that glows like liquid gold oozing downward the slopes brought the change, a change that opens the door to this long lost 'paradiso'._dmbautista

    The crisscrossing, glowing yellow road contrasts nicely with the dusky blue light and moody fog, which really makes this image come alive. Your eye follows the road back through the layered, mountainous terrain until it arrives at the distant city in the valley below. Shot at midday this picture would be very different and perhaps not nearly so compelling.
