Edit Photo Details Snowcloud, Silver Cliff CO, Oct 2013   #clouds
This is one of 40 shots taken of a majestic snowcloud (approx. 20 miles wide) over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as my wife Leslie (driving) and I approached Silver Cliff in the High Country of southcentral Colorado on the morning of October 14, 2013. As we left the Wet Mountains to the east and entered the northern end of the Huerfano Valley, the mighty cloud began to roll in over the two dozen or so 13K+ peaks in a manner not dissimilar to the blue northers of my youth in the Texas panhandle.
