My questions about this photos, which we all liked very much, is why isn't there more information?  That can make such a difference in how your photos are received.  Is this their home?  How long have they lived there?  Where is it? if it's in Appalachia, perhaps it's a family that struggles.  Is there nothing more you can tell us about these people?  The photograph merits a better caption that makes it even more powerful.  At the very least, who, what, why, when, and where but just knowing something a bit more intimate would be lovely.

@Maggie Steber  Of course :) So, this is actually myself and my daughter at the cabin of famous Iowa naturalist Sylvan Runkel near Grand Marais, Minnesota. The cabin is 12x12 and has only a couch, cot, and two burner stove, with no running water. I strive to teach my daughter that it really does not take much to be happy and that life is much easier than many people make it out to be. Retreating to this cabin gives us the perfect opportunity to practice the simplicity I try and teach her. I've submitted it to the Love assignment because I believe that today there are far too many "things" between people, leaving no room for Love between people. Removing the cell phones and tv's and numerous other distractions (ok, maybe not the running water) creates a simple space between two people where Love can then be cultivated.
