We keep our 113 pound Lab out of our daughter's room (swallowing a pair of underpants got him banished), but getting up on her bed is one of his little pleasures in life. Perhaps surrounding him with treats would complete his idea of heaven. Or if he can't reach them.... a nightmare.

Thanks to the Daily Dozen today, I just discovered your gallery.  It's certainly now one of my favorites - remarkable photographs, artfully done with wit and humor.  Absolutely wonderful!

Awesome shot Mike. My "puppy" Kal is now 88 lbs at 14 months. We think he will top out around 100. I truly love your work, your sense of humor, and your ability to create a photo that sticks with you. I think about two of your photos often - the self portrait in the pool and the one over the fence with the swan. And in my humble opinion, that's when a photographer is great. When they can make images that stick with you and you want to return to them. You are so awesome.

Such a one-dimensional feeling, he is like a picture on the blanket, which would be very interesting! My dog's dream is about the same - getting up on the bed, trying to be sooo quiet, that nobody would notice. Beautiful picture with very good background.

Is that some form of animal cruelty?

I have a vision of the dog trying to get them all and bringing down your ceiling:)

Love his face!  Wonderful shot - I always love to see what you come with!  I still think about the "peeps" one, in fact I was telling my daughter about it the other day.

So you hung those bones, you are a funny photographer. We have a gate on my daughter's room to keep our chewer out.

I appreciate it, Heidi. He's a good boy... except when he's a really bad boy. :)

You don't know how true that statement is, Monica. He has a sixth sense about the door being left open.

He destroys the rest of the house. The ceiling is the last clean spot we have.

Thanks, Vanessa. He was hard to wrangle in position because he was so excited by the bones. Models can be quite difficult. :)

@Robin Schwartz Thanks so much, Robin.  He's a big, dopey sweetheart and a big part of the family (literally!).  I think you may be in charge of one of the most enjoyable assignments.  Gotta love those pets.....especially dogs.  Cats, well... meh.
