    Reported by:

Beautiful lioness capturing during an heli flight over the Okavango Delta, Botswana. We were quite lucky to find this lioness by helicopter walking in this beautiful green grass of the delta. She was then looking at me and there’s nothing in Africa so intense as a lion looking right at you. Believe me, zoo lions can’t do this.

The lioness set against the pattern of grass blades dotted with dry grass seeds reminds me of varies jungle paintings by Henri Rousseau. It’s just slightly surreal. -B. Yen
