What an amazing assignment! Well done, and thank you to everyone for all your submissions. It’s been quite an epic exercise curating them all and choosing the best ones!

Over the last twenty years, photography has taken me to some of the most epic underground worlds unimaginable, and I have been tasked with producing images that portray these epic landscapes. Often, my initial thoughts are something along the lines of, “Wow, how are we going to make a picture in this cave? It’s too big! It’s so epic!”

No lift here, you skin up the hill one step at a time. Folks there tell me that this mountain Bre...

Each of you has chosen your own field, unique to you and to your work. You have used your own creative vision to express “epic.” Several of them were what I expected to see submitted, and I’m very pleased to see they were well executed. However, as I continue to learn more and more about the Your Shot community, many of the submissions were not what I expected, and many of them opened up my eyes to see how you depict “epic.” There is such a diverse range of photographers out there, and it is a real joy to go through them all and select my favorite pictures. Congratulations all round. Epic: you nailed it!
