In the small Slovenian village of Marcovci, the local Carnival calls on unmarried men to dress up as Kurenti. The Kurent is a figure from South Slavic folklore - a God known for his debauchery. These men typically wear sheepskin costumes with bells around their waist, which they shake to chase away winter and welcome the spring. In recent years, women and children have been breaking with tradition and dressing up as well. Here, a young boy in costume takes a break with his fellow Kurenti.
