A cacophony of beating drums, scuffling hooves and the trill of snake charmers greets the visitor to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square in the heart of Marrakesh. A myriad of varieties and colours of djellabas and kaftans swarm around the square. The distinctive tang of orange juice in the air mingles with the aromas of herbs and odour of leather. The never-ending movements changes as the day progresses and has an impact on all the senses.
