Jaw Deformity
A young roe deer doe with a jawbone deformity browses through the leaves at dusk. I had photographed this deer several times without realizing that something was wrong with her jaw. I always though this deer just had an overly lopsided chewing technique. But after watching her eat close up, I noticed that the jaw is permanently bent. Even with this deformity, she seems to be doing fine. Hidden discoveries like this is what makes wildlife photography so exciting.
