The excitement of Christmas kicked in my son when he turned three. Every gift was the greatest present he had been given. As he opened a music kit from grandparents, each instrument was displayed to all with a glorious declaration. At birth, he was diagnosed with a heart syndrome that causes rapid heartbeats. Thanks to the medical treatment, he is two years incident free. This syndrome will be a lifelong concern of his, but I am grateful for the gift of carefree energy he now radiates each day.
