Cheetah are my favorite wildlife and I have tracked them across countries in East and Southern Africa. Highly endangered, a key issue has been their cubs don’t survive to adulthood. A recent mini-success has been identifying and protecting Cheetah “Super-moms” – cheetahs with an uncanny record of protecting their cubs to adulthood. I had the privilege of studying and tracking this super-mom in the Masai Mara, Kenya over several days. Specific names, locations withheld.
