I was walking across the parking lot after work, and was amazed by the small flowers popping up from between the cracks in the asphalt. The tiny plants were springing up even in most trafficked areas, pressing up towards the sunlight despite being run over multiple times per day. The reminder of the tenacity of life, that press for survival, was beautiful, and was intriguing enough to me that I went to my car, came back with my camera, and lay down in the middle of the lot to record the moment.
