    The forsythia burst into bloom, defying my prediction that spring night temperatures had frozen their buds. Thrilled I captured the first day's fullness as the sun was setting and the wind was picking up. Normally I see the bush of yellow sprigs but the lighting revealed the delicate beauty of a single blossom.
