We got our new Keeshond puppy when our kids were very small so they all could grow up together. Where one went they all seemed to go. When the dog finally had to be put down at age 13, the first thing the kids did was go to the animal shelter and bring home a stray. Even now, as adults with kids of their own, they've always had dogs.
