Training period - Charak Festival
The Charak tree is believed to be the abode of Ardhanarishwar (composite form of the lord Shiva and Parvati).A significant mask is first attached to the top of the tree, before the worship and hoisting it up straight on the ground. Here the master is showing the procedure to his young disciple. It is believed Charak festival will carry prosperity by eliminating the sorrow and suffering of the previous year. The festival is actually to satisfy “Lord Shiva” the great “Debadideb” of Hindu religion.
