Gokyo lakes are the world’s highest freshwater lake system comprising six main lakes situated along Ngozumpa glacier deep in the Nepalese Himalayas. The fourth lake Thonak Tso is the largest and deepest among them, situated at an altitude of 4,834 meters. It is a popular destination for trekkers in the area of the highest mountains on our planet - Sagarmatha National Park, with Mt. Everest being the main attraction.
