This past weekend, my husband and I went camping up near Cheyenne Mountain. We decided to hike into the forest a few miles before making camp, and my husband almost stepped on these small flowers. I loved their stark contrast with the snow all around them, and even though they were withered and dead, they still looked beautiful.
