Beating Wings and Whispering Reeds
I like to find isolated spots where I can hear nothing. Places where the loudest thing you hear is the sound of your own breath. I found one on this day but a curious Red Winged Black Bird landed on one of the reeds in front of me and as if it were scolding me for my intrusion, began to furiously chatter. I wanted a picture of those beautiful wings, so I waited until it looked as though the little friend was ready to leave and snapped this photo as it took flight. I got those beautiful wings.
