    Since Easter is a period of death and later of resurrection, it is tradition that the faithful should dress in mourning for the death of Christ. This lady of Castelo de Vide, wears her best black dress, the veil of black lace that hides her hair caught in a little cape, yet displays her gold jewelry, which she wears around her neck, ears and wrists.
