This photo is taken on the Dutch island of Texel. It is a beautiful shot of the dunes, but what struck me is the sign in front of it. "Pas Op" means "Be aware" (of an electric shock). We see a stunning landscape, but it is in danger. It needs to be protected from humans. With an electric wire - energy we take from earth and is now necessary to protect our earth from ourselves. Vulnerable, beautiful and worth defending - this picture says all about earth day to me - and I hope to everyone else!
