The chipmunks living in the forests along the Northern California Coast are elusive animals. Last week I succeded in taking images of a juvenile and an adult while they enjoyed the warm sunshine in early May. I've been struggling to find these animals in the redwood forests north of San Francisco. This image is the result of almost one year of work.
