I was travelling in Peru and stopped in Cusco on my way to Machu Picchu. In a city full of international travelers I came upon this destitute woman sitting against this wall. I was struck by the hard shadow of the late afternoon sun and her sullen expression provided a stark contrast to bright eyed tourists walking past.
