I got up before 6am to catch the sun rise over the islands as we cruised along the Strait of Juan de Fuca before arriving at Victoria, BC. I had been trying to catch a sunset during the 3 weeks of our cruise from Fort Lauderdale through the Panama Canal and then along the west US coast and this was the only day when the skies were clear enough.
