KIDS WILL BE KIDS: As we pulled away from visiting this Peruvian village, these teenagers, with all their universal adolescent swagger, were standing by dugout canoes. thatched roofed houses, and electric light poles. They could have been in any urban neighborhood. It also struck me -- oddly both sadly and hopefully -- how local indigenous cultures are both Americanized and Westernized.
