El Rodeo is an important tourist village in the province of Catamarca, Argentina. It is located in the Ambato Department, at the foot of the Ambato Mountain Range, at 1,250 meters above sea level and only 35 km from the provincial capital. "Foggy Village" or, to be more precise, "Niquixao". That was the original name, in Quechua language, of the beautiful tourist village that today we know as El Rodeo and that was founded by the Spaniards in 1614.
