Native Plantings
This whole city of Lismore has adopted a policy to regenerate forests to bring back the original wildlife. There are plantings of koala trees dotted throughout. This area was once known as the big scrub. In this garden, the residents have adopted a "native to this area only" policy in order to encourage the birdlife. It was once a cottage garden but is slowly transforming. This lorikeet is feasting on the first flowering of this native grasstree.
