Narrow path to the church
Sunset at Abuna Yeamata Guh Church in Ethiopia . Thats one of the hardest accessible churches in Africa, to get there takes about 1 hour very steep climbing and at the end about 7 meters free style climbing . In this photo narrow path leads to the church entrance where priest stand and on the left cliff about 250 meters above the ground . In 5th century priest from Egypt climbed to this hard accessible hill and quarried the church out of the rock .
This photo has great depth, composition, and beautiful light. I found myself wondering what had to have happened in order to capture this, so thank you for providing such great detail in your caption, Georgijus.
