Driving up Pikes Peak is a special in that you always see something different and you are always inspired by the beautiful surroundings. It was the very first mountain peak I saw as a child, the first time I saw pika & developed a love for nature photography as a teenager. It was where my husband proposed to me. This mountain has enriched my life in so many was. The photo is taken from a moving vehicle, 20 min away from the summit. Rain or shine, this 19mile trip to the top is always stunning.
