    This isn't the best photo with regards to composition (it was taken in a storage unit), but it means a lot to me. My grandfather passed away while I was working overseas. The only thing I really wanted from his house was the front door. My aunt drew the design, and my grandfather carved it along with other pieces that reflected his love of African art. I wanted to incorporate this beautiful piece of art into my own future house as a way of keeping his creative spirit alive.
