This is one of the huge vehicles ( chariots) used in the annual Car festival at Thiruvarur temple of God Shiva. The Idols of God are carried in the huge chariots around the four streets surrounding the temple. The speciality of the festival is the long and large ropes ( measuring 12 inches ) are used by the devotees to pull the giant cars.
