A colony of emperor penguins brave 25 knot winds and snow at Gould Bay, Weddell Sea, Antarctica. This was my third trip to Antarctica, and the first camping on the sea ice. Each trip was a life changer that exposed me to the beauty of life without the interference of humans. This one in particular was special, because we were totally alone with a colony of 8000 amazing penguins who braved the harshest weather on earth. My respect and awe for nature grew during this trip.

Great moment here and it reminded me of these exact scenes from the March of the Penguins documentary which I just recently watched for the first time in awhile. It's really quite amazing what penguins go through as a colony and how they work together as a group. I think you did a great job of documenting their habits with this image.
