Painted storks one of the most common birds which can be found in the indian subcontinental wetlands.I myself clicked this beauty in Dhakuria lake,an artificial lake created in the suburban area of Kolkata. The lake is surrounded by a lot of greenery which houses many small birds and mammals and migratory birds during the winter.Though painted storks are known for their short migratory movements due to the changes in the climate,they are mostly seen in this lake during the winter season.
