Wing brakes Anhinga lands ..
I saw the male anhinga flying in toward the tree. Was lucky enough to catch this male anhinga with my sense just as he used his reverse thrust to land on the artful snag. The wings are like a a beautiful sculpture to me, each one fanning out at the perfect moment to ensure a safe landing for the bird.
