After the miracle of the apparition of the "Virgen de Guadalupe" on December 12, 1531, the event is celebrated since then with great devotion. Year by year hundreds of thousands of people go to the Balisilica de Guadalupe in northern Mexico City. Most of the people are organized from months before to be able to make the trip. Some make uniforms with embroidery of the virgin, the year and its name, to identify themselves among them but at the same time as a personal object to remember this day.
