    Every year, I go camping in the Sierra Nevada, and this is by far one of my favorite places. It requires one to take Kaiser Pass Road, a very narrow dirt road that edges on a cliff for about 2 hours. It's quite scary when another car comes, as one always has to back up along this road until a clearing is reached. At the end is Florence Lake, a secluded high sierra lake. I took this while walking through a large grassy meadow next to the lake in late summer, hence the once green meadow was golden
