Dance is a tradition that is celebrated throughout the world. Many cultures expressing the art of dance in their own unique way. For my daughter and many girls dance has been a way of helping them grow in body and mind. Teaching them to stand confident and strong. My daughter was extremely shy so I thought getting her involved in dance would bring her out of her shell. I was right and 14 years later I see a strong confident young women ready to face the world. She makes me proud.

I love the spirit of this photo which illustrates the concept of dance teaching her to "stand confident and strong." I love this. I love how thoughtful you are in your caption. But what I really love is how you took advantage of the discussion board, asking the Your Shot community for advice and feedback BEFORE submitting to the assignment — and then you captured THIS photo. I applaud your effort to continue pushing yourself to be a better photographer. Well done Shannon.
