72 stone shrines, hewn from cooled lava rock, rise proudly from the ashes to form one of the world's most magnificent Buddhist Temples, Borobudur.
By the hour of four o'clock in the morning, a sweeping, mysterious fog has long lingered amidst the stone peaks of Borobudur, filling the air with gloom and dismay; but, in due time, would meet its company: hundreds of weary travelers who have waited anxiously at its sturdy, rock gates.
