    The thanks flags are essential elements in sikkim culture. Five different colors are being used to describe the natural power. Red: is the symbol of fire White: is the symbol of air Yellow: is the symbol of land Green: is the symbol of water Blue: is the symbol of sky. According to Buddhism white flags filters the impurities in air. Therefore, each meditation zone is occupied with myriad of white flags as shown in this picture.
