Edit Photo Details The False Banana Tradition of Ethiopia   #culture #ethiopia #africa_culture #false_banana #enset
In Southern Ethiopia the cultural tradition of making kocho cakes from the Enset "False Banana" plant is quite an incredible undertaking. The amount of physical labor to harvest the edible part of the plant and then place it under a fermentation process is incredible but well worth it the time for this wonderfully hospitable culture.
