A few months ago my mom had major back surgery and had to stay in the hospital for a little over a week after. Not wanting to leave her alone, my dad and I took turns staying with her each night. Because it is a hospital and not a hotel, sleep can be hard to come by and I often found myself up before the sun. This shot is from one morning where I was greeted with an amazing sunrise.
