Cabasa player, San Lazaro Day, Condado
San Lazaro Day, at the small temple in Condado. This is one of a dozen percussionists who play from early morning until early afternoon, switching off instruments, taking breaks for glasses of rum. I'd shot there a year before and was surprised they remembered me, and let me shoot freely. (Helped that I'd brought their photos from last trip.) I loved his intensity.
