The old Chinar is located in Bedechka Park, Stara Zagora. The tree is more than 680 years old. Its stem is 11 m long and its height is 17 m. It has a unique beautiful ten branches. Five of them are supported by metal structures to avoid breaking their weight, and one branch is struck by lightning. The tree has survived after five burnings of the city. It is claimed to be a protected site with historical significance.
