Father’s Day is a good day to share this…a few years ago I built a memorial in my backyard to honor my dad, called “The Bacchus Pavilion”. Dad always collected a lot of interesting stuff, and many years ago he bartered roofing work with an antiques dealer on LI in exchange for a mosaic of Bacchus from an 19th century estate, likely removed from a pool or fountain.
