Seville Fair at dusk
The Seville Fair was born in the 19th century as an agricultural and livestock event. In its early days, the concept of 'caseta' was that of a stable where the animals were traded and a tavern. The most obvious connection with that livestock past we can observe it nowadays in the tradition of horseback riding and the use of carriages. What's more, the enclosure where they ride, El Real, owes the name to the 'real' (25 cents of spanish 'peseta') coachmen charged to bring people to the fair.
