Midsummer celebration in Sweden
Midsummer, which marks the longest day of summer, is a highly coveted and popular festival in Sweden, when the Swedes usually go to the countryside and enjoy with their families in lush green meadows or forests. The festival, held in June, is accompanied with music, dance, food and drinks. During this time the Swedes love to dress in ethnicwear and perform folkdance and music. I was lucky to witness this beautiful celebration at Helsingborg, a city in the southernmost county (Skåne) of Sweden.
