Seoul is another example of vibrant megapolis. But behind the hustle modernity, there is a living tradition, that locals keep up with a pleasure. When having a meal at a local restaurant, they put their boots off at the entrance and eat at low tables on the floor. "What is the story behind?" - I asked my local friend. First, they didn't have much furniture in the past, and second, the heating was being conducted under the floor. So the floor was a warmer place to eat and sleep.
