In Mexico, every November 2, is celebrated the day of all saints, or the day of the dead. In each home where the presence of a deceased loved one is remembered, an offering is placed full of the favorite food of the deceased. Legend has it that on the night of November 2, the souls of the dead return following a path of flower petals and guided by the candlelight, to their home, where they taste again the food they enjoyed most in life .
